What In My Makeup Bag January 2020?
You never know what is possibly going to happen throughout your day, having your makeup bag fully stocked with the essentials is crucial! You don't need to have a million things in your makeup bag but you do need what you believe you are going to need throughout the day! These are my needs to have on the go for the month of January, I use almost every day and I take with me everywhere I go!
Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Foundation
$54.00 at Sephora
The Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Foundation has been my go to for the past couple of months now, I can vouch for the fact that is really will last you all day. From me getting ready for work at 8:00 AM and still having it on until 9:00/10:00 PM it does stay in place. The only place I really struggle with is my nose because I do have extremely oily skin even being in the winter. I love this foundation because it is matte but not the matte that makes your skin look dry but just allows it to look clean and flawless. It also isn't a suffocating full coverage foundation, I have a lot of redness on my cheeks and just a dab of this foundation and it is covered. A little goes a long way with this foundation!
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil $24.00 at Sephora
Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow + Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
$24.00 at Sephora
My dynamic duo! One thing I have struggled with is my eyebrows and the products I use for them, some pencils have too much pigment others don't have enough, some are too hard and some are too soft, and some brow gels instead of finishing the brow look ruined the look. After so much brow soul searching this duo is my saving grace. The pencil has just the right amount of pigment and is true to the name of being precise, it allows me to trace my brow and fill it with out me looking like Groucho Marks (if you don't know who he look him up). The brow gel brush is small but it helps when setting the brows and helps my brows look more fluffy and natural.
Bath & Body Works Champagne Toast Hand cream
$5.00 at Bath & Body Works
With my job I am constantly meeting new people and having to shake their hands upon introduction, and one of the most common compliments I receive is about how soft my hands are. Not only does this hand cream have an incredible scent but it also gives the moisture my skin needs in these cold New York winter days. I never leave my house with out having this in my bag. This is one of my favorite scents, it is soft and feminine and the hand cream is infused with shea butter.
Colourpop Cosmetics So Juicy Plumping Gloss
$7.00 on Colourpop.com
Jade Cosmetics Lipgloss
$3.00 on Instagram.com/jade_cosmetics_
Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix
$6.00 on Colourpop.com
Colourpop Lippie Pencil
$6.00 on Colourpop.com
Inexpensive yet good quality lip products are so hard to find these days, am I wrong? I am so thankful for the products from Colourpop Cosmetics and Jade Cosmetics. Colourpop has been one of my favorite make up brands for quite sometime so it isn't shocking that their lip products are what I consider essential. The So Juicy Lipgloss is a lip plumping gloss that does not burn your lips to bits (thank god). It actually has a minty refreshing feeling to it and the shine is incredible! The Lippie Stix and Pencil are are smooth and easy to apply, for me nothing is worse than a lip product that makes it difficult to apply on your lips. The Jade Cosmetic lipgloss is also one of my go to's just because the scent is amazing and not over powering and the quality is amazing! The tube brings me back to my first lip gloss too!
Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter
$38.00 on Sephora.com
Isdin Mineral Brush
$55.00 on Isdin.com
"You glow girl!" comes to life with the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter, I have been faithful to this highlighter for about 3 years now! A little goes a long way with this highlighter because even the lightest dab with your brush will have you shining like a star (and not looking an oily mess!). This highlighter also compliments every skin tone. For when I am getting oily through the day is when my Isdin Mineral Brush comes to play. This silky smooth fine powder is a superhero when I get a little shiny around my nose and on my chin. It also helps protect your skin from the sun, some may feel that is unimportant in the winter but the sun is strong all year around!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
$25.00 on Sephora.com
If you know me personally you know that at a drop of a pin I can start crying, I am a huge softy and I need a mascara that isn't going to run when I start getting watery eyed! The Too faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara can be difficult to apply but I have found that most waterproof mascaras are, I never use this as my base mascara, I apply this as a protective top coat to the mascara I apply first. It will not run or smudge at all throughout the day and it can be a bit difficult to remove but with a little micellar water it comes right off!
