My Daily Skin Care Routine!

December 7, 2018

I take a lot of pride in keeping my skin fresh and clean at all times. Mostly because in middle school and high school I would suffer from constant breakouts all over my face and, that was because I didn't know how to take care of my skin at the time. But now FINALLY at 24, I have found my skincare routine that keeps my skin clear and glowing! This is the routine I strictly follow in the winter because I have oily skin but around my nose and chin I get a bit of dryness. So if you suffer from any of these, this might be the skin care routine for you!

Step One:

I start with my Sephora Rose Facial Wipes, even if I did not wear make up that day I always wipe my face down with these facial wipes. I specifically use the rose wipes because it reduces any redness or irritation of the skin and I suffer from a lot of redness on my face. These wipes also cleanse the skin while brightening my skin and hydrating it the way it needs to be! A pack of 30 of these wipes go for $7.50 at Sephora, they also have trial packs that hold 10 wipes that are $3.00 if you just want to give them a try!

Step Two:

I use the OleHenriksen Wonderfeel Double Cleanser, its main purpose is to remove makeup and cleanse skin in one easy step. I mainly use it just to remove ay excess makeup and residue that is still on my face after wiping it down. This is mainly for dry skin so I like to use it specifically where my skin gets dry this time of year. It is has a lightweight texture and it soothes and hydrates skin. This 3.4 oz tube runs for $34.00 and I purchase mine at Sephora.

Step 3:

I use the OleHenriksen Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser, this specifically reduces excess oil and deeply cleanses your pores without stripping the skin. It leaves skin feeling refreshed and allows it to look healthier after just one wash! This is my holy grail, it mattifies and truly controls any oiliness the skin has. This is specifically for people with oily skin so if you suffer from any dry skin, this product is not for you! I pour about a dime amount onto a rubber exfoliating pad (you can buy a two pack at 5 below for $2) and I wash my face until it starts foaming and wipe it off gently with a washcloth. The 5 oz bottle runs for $25.00 but if you just want to test it out before making the investment they sell a 2oz bottle for just $10!

Step 4:

Next, I use the OleHenriken Balance Force Oil Control Toner, this is a pore redefining toner that unclogs and reduces the appearance of pores. Anything that minimizes the appearance of my pores is very important to me since some of my pores are a bit big from all the breakouts I used to get. From when I started using this up to now there is a huge difference in my pores. It will also mattify for skin but will leave your skin with a healthy glow! I pour just a little bit onto a cotton pad and I evenly distribute this all over my face and specifically in spots where my pores are exaggerated or where I can be the oiliest at times. Their 6.5 oz bottle runs for $26.00.

 Step 5:

Then I use the OleHenriksen Nurture Me Moisturizer, this is a moisturizing creme that is rich and nourishing. It softens and comforts dry skin and helps with any sensitivity that the skin suffers from. Its blended with vitamins A, B5, and C and is accompanied by sunflower and rosehip oils. This will also help reduce any redness the skin may have, and it is also good for any dullness and uneven texture. I scoop a small amount with my ring finger and pat it down on any of my dry and red areas on my face. the 1.7 oz container runs for $40 which may be a bit pricey but a little goes a long way with this product so it will last you. I find it to be an investment.

 Step 6:

Afterward, I use one of my personal favorites the OleHenriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream, I use this mainly for the dark circles around my eyes. This directly targets any darkness, fine lines, or wrinkles around the eyes. it is collagen boosted so it firms and hydrates while still being lightweight. It contains Vitamin C which is what helps illuminate the eyes instantly. I apply this under my eyes with my ring finger and gently pat it under my eyes. When you use this you see results instantly. This is what helps me not look tired, even on the days I have to wake up at 4 am. the 0.5 oz container goes for $38.00 but it will last you for the year, so I believe its worth the buy!

 Step 7:

My favorite step is using my Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray. This mist is so refreshing when you spray it, the rose water is the perfect pick me up for dehydrated, tight, and uncomfortable skin. This will also help reduce any redness the skin may have. You can also use this to set your make up. It is extremely gentle and non-irritating. I spray this all over my face and fan my face with my hand a little bit so it'll dry up a little fast. You can buy this at Ulta or Urban Outfitters, the 8oz bottle is only $8.00! Once you get it you won't be able to have enough of it!

That is it for my daily skin care routine, I just want to remind you guys that I do have oily skin and I suffer from redness and some dryness in certain areas, so if you don't have the same issues half of this routine may not be for you! I also want to mention that I know OleHenriksen was the main brand that I used in this but is it not a paid partnership. These are all products I purchase myself and I love dearly which is why I am recommending them to you guys!

If you guys end up using any of these products please let me know!
